Liebster For Yo Mama!

Daliene from Daliene's Alamo Adventures nominated me for the Liebster award! 
The Liebster award is given to blogs that have less than 200 followers. 
Liebster is German for lovely, valued, endearing, darling...and lots of other sweet things.  

I guess everyone at some point in time starts off as a baby blog... 
I was blogging for about 5 months with no followers what so ever until I learned about sponsoring/advertising. My readership has grown since then but at the same time I worry about people simply following me to win a giveaway or have me follow them in return. 
Either way, this lil blog will continue to put put along because ultimately, I blog for myself. 
But for those who do read my blog ... Thank You.
Daliene's blog is one of the blogs I read on a consistent basis so this was a pleasant surprise when I read her post nominating me for this award.

11 Facts About Me:

1. I'm allergic to cockroaches. Not the actual roaches per say, but their droppings.

2. I love learning new words. I subscribe to Webster's Word of the Day.

My favorite word that I've learned so far is "vitriol".

3. I'm a courteous farter ... 

Like forreal, I will walk to the door of the room I'm in and stick my butt out before I let loose so other can't smell it.

4. I LOVE chocolate ... Dark Chocolate to be exact.

5. I love ALL colors! 

Everytime someone asks me what my favorite color is I give a different answer.

But if I had to break it down, my top 3 favorite are Red, Purple & Turquoise .... And Yellow.

6. I'm very loyal to my friends and family. Cross them ... You cross me.

7. I'm Sophistirachet. 

Meaning I'm a classy chick at work and when I need to be within a professional environment.

But when I'm with my friends and family, a whole other Setarra comes out.

I like to be goofy, shake my ass to a good beat, drank, and talk ignorant.

You know ... Life is all about balance ;)

8. I am the oldest out of 6 siblings. I have 4 younger brothers and a 2 year old sister.

9. I afraid of spiders ... and centipedes ... And anything else with more that 4 legs.

10. My favorite flowers are bleeding hearts and peach colored roses.

11. I have nicknames for my boobs ... Big Mama & Baby Gurl.

 11 Questions I Must Answer:

1. What is your idea of a fun NYE?

My NYE celebration this year was crazy ... maybe even a little too crazy.

I didn't go to bed until 6 in the morning lol. 

Sooooo much fun but geez, I can't party like I did when I was in college anymore.

I think next year I just want to sleep through New Years.

2. What is one of your favorite reads (book/magazine/blog)?

I really enjoy stopping by the Thought Catalog.
Their content is just ... Real.

3. Did you scratch anything off your Bucket List in 2012? If not, what is on your list for 2013?

I didn't scratch anything off my Bucket List for 2012. 
But I did make a to-do list for 2013 here.

4. Facebook or Twitter? 
Facebook. 

I've been tempted many times to get a Twitter but alas, nothing so far. 

5. What is your favorite makeup/beauty product?

My eyelash curler.

I got my eyelashes from my asian side of the family, meaning they stick straight out. 
No curl what so ever. 
So I always use my eyelash curler first before I put any mascara on.

6. What is your favorite local restaurant (obviously wherever you live)? 
The Bayou Restuarant is a super yummy Creole restaurant around the corner from me.
Sooooo good and they bring in great blues bands to come and play every week.

7. What song is most played on your iPod/radio?

Right now, I have Rihanna's newest album, Unapologetic, on repeat.

Her music is great to work out to ... It makes me feel like a badass as I'm burning my buns.

8. Are there any movies you plan to go see in the theater over the holidays?

I just saw Django last week. I know alot of people either or love or hate it.

I understand both sides and so, will refrain from talking about the subject of Tarantino's rendition of slavery projected on film.

But personally, I think Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel Jackson did a a great job acting. 

I REALLY hated their characters in the movie and I've never EVER Hated Leonardo DiCaprio in any movie he's played in.

9. What is your favorite comfort food?

My gramma's pumpkin chocolate chip cupcakes 
Charles' dad's cornbread
Redskin mashed potatoes with chunks of chicken in it and gravy slathered alllll over.

10. Do you make new years resolutions? Why or Why not?

I don't make resolutions.

I make to-do lists because I love crossing things off my list. 

I've never once followed through with a resolution. 

I think it's too much pressure to make a resolution or get something resolved by the end of the year.

But to-do lists ... Every year, I cross ALOT off my list.

11. Who would you push over the Fiscal Cliff? lol

Unfortunately, my paychecks for 2013 are now $45 less than last year because of the fiscal cliff ...
Imagine my surprise when I saw my first check of this year. 
I called my HR and they then explained the 2% increase for the taxes taken out of my check ... 
That's over $2,000 this year that I will not see this year ... 
Which means lil bit of re-budgeting when I come back from Barbados.
But to answer this question ... I push no one over the cliff ... Our country is in MAJOR debt.
If this is what it takes to get the US budget back on track then so be it.
People need to suck it up.
